RECENT WORK

It’s tough sometimes to know when a piece is done. Leonardo da Vinci himself once declared ‘Art is never finished, only abandoned.’ In my case, some works just seem to demand ever more complexity. The Family Tree, for example, started simply enough but evolved over the course of many months to resemble a mash-up between a Victorian formal family portrait and an episode of Jackass. Others, fortunately, are resolved with a minimum of hair pulling.
